The name "Baby Braves" comes from the 18 rookies who contributed to the 2005 Division Champion Atlanta Braves and include Jeff Francoeur, Kelly Johnson, Ryan Langerhans, Wilson Betemit, Brian McCann, Pete Orr, Brayan Pena, Andy Marte, Kyle Davies, Roman Colon, Blaine Boyer, Macay McBride, Anthony Lerew, Chuck James, Joey Devine, Jorge Vasquez, Frank Brooks, and Matt Childers.
