Paronto called up

Chad Paronto is now the most recent addition to Atlanta's battered bullpen. To make room for him, Horacio Ramirez was placed on the 15 day DL again. That is fine with me because Atlanta has too many lefties and Horacio wasn't effective anyways. Paronto was having a very fine year in Richmond and will hopefully provide some much needed help to the Braves bullpen.

In other news, Joey Devine has been assigned to Danville. After hurting himself in his first appearance in Richmond, Joey will start a much more gradual ascent through the system now. The rapid promotion obviously was too much on Joey and he lost a lot of his confidence. Danville's season doesn't start until after the MLB draft in June.
