6/11 Recap

AAA - Richmond
Brian O'Connor pitched a great game but the normally reliable Peter Moylan blew it in the 8th.  O'Connr gave up just 1 run on 5 hits in 7 innings while striking out 5.  Moylan gave up 4 hits and 4 runs while recording just 1 out.  Scott Thorman was once again the leader of the offense with 3 hits including 2 doubles and 1 RBI.  Just a matter of time before his promotion.

Pawtucket 5, Richmond 2

AA - Mississippi
Paul Bush got pounded for probably the first time this year.  He gave up 9 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings.  Francisley Bueno was the only effective pitcher as he threw 3 shutout innings on only 1 hit.  The offense was good but not good enough.  Yunel Escobar stayed red hot with 2 hits including a 3-run homer as he started at 3B once again.  Mike Rosamond also homered for the Braves.

Chattanooga 11, Mississippi 9

High A - Myrtle Beach
The offense and pitching was pretty bad in this one.  Charlie Morton and Gonzalo Lopez gave up 7 runs in the first 6 innings.  Van Pope drove in a run while Steven Doetsch had 3 hits and an RBI but that was it for the offense.

Kinston 7, Myrtle Beach 2

Low A - Rome
Two of the big 3 came up big whle Beau Jones got his 2nd victory of the year.  Beau gave up 5 hits and 4 runs in 5 innings for the win.  Devin Anderson relieved Jones with 3 good innings lowering his ERA to 1.47.  Kala Kaaihue reached base 5 times with 2 hits and 3 walks rasing his average to .340.  Eric Campbell had 2 hits, 1 home run, and 3 RBI's.  Max Ramirez uncharacteristically went 0-5 but is still batting .303.

Rome 7, Columbus 5
