Stockman finally called up!

It might be a little late now but Phil Stockman has been called up as Chris Reitsma has been placed on the DL with numbness in his hand.  Stockman started the season with 7 shutout innings with Mississippi while giving up only 1 hit against 12 strikeouts.  He continued to shine upon his promotion to Richmond where he posted a 0.91 ERA with only 9 hits against him in 29.2 innings.  He also struck out 39 in those 29.2 innings.  He has only given up 10 hits all season which is two less than the amount of walks he has allowed.

Stockman's background comes from the Arizona Diamondback organization.  He toiled in their minor leagues for years before coming over to Atlanta's organization this season.  He has never put up numbers anywhere close to his current numbers so I am somewhat skeptical.  However, he has shown no signs of slowing down in his 37 innings this season.  He is originally from Australia so we can think of him as a much better version of Peter Moylan.  I wonder if Phil wears glasses as do a lot of the Braves reliever call-ups including Moylan.
