Minor notes
- Tony Pena, Jr. was called up, as expected, to Atlanta to take the roster spot of Chipper Jones. The most Pena can contribute to the team right now is pinch running. Luis Hernandez will take his place at SS in Richmond for now.
- Mike Rosamond hit a game winning two-run homer last night in the bottom of the ninth for Mississippi.
- Michael Rozema's homer yesterday was Myrtle Beach's first home run this season as a team.
- David Kelton is 4 for his last 10 and drove in 4 runs last night.
- Macay McBride will make three more appearances in AA-Mississippi before joining Atlanta's bullpen, barring any setbacks.
