5/9 Recap
AAA - Richmond
Travis Smith dominates yet again giving up 1 run in 8 innings of work. Richmond pounded Columbus with 16 hits en route to an 8-1 victory. Everyone had a hit except Michael Ryan and Jonathan Schuerholz. Scott Thorman and Tony Pena lead the way with 3 hits apeace.
AA - Mississippi
Dan Smith blew a 3-2 lead in the 8th by giving up 4 runs without recording an out. He has really struggled since being called up from Myrtle Beach. On the bright side, Chris Waters had another quality start and Salty went 2-4.
High A - Myrtle Beach
The Pelicans used some late inning heroics to come away with an 8-7 victory. Brandon Jones homered to lead off the bottom of the 9th and Steve Doetch singled home Van Pope to tie it up later in the inning. Arthur Santos (4-0, 0.47) pitched a scoreless 11th to pick up the win.
Low A - Rome
Rome brought out the sticks today as well as they beat Greenville 8-5. Eric Campbell and Max Ramirez lead the way with one home run apiece. Everyone in the lineup had at least 1 hit and Elvis Andrus stole his 10th base of the season. Chris Vines (3-1) picked up the victory.
